History
B&B’s roots at the shore go all the way back to around 1900, when the first shop opened in Seaside Park, on 5th Avenue. It was called The Bazaar in those days, but in 1930, it was purchased by Aaron “Duffy” Wilbert and Ernest H. Boekholt. The renamed it E&D (for Ernest and Duffy), and that moniker lasted about a year. After Ernest became the sole owner, he changed the name to B&B, which stood for Boekholt & Boekholt, in honor of Ernest and his son James.

The current owners purchased B&B in the 1970s, but opted to keep the name. You don’t change a brand that works!
